Q. What is the GPU Technology Conference Europe (GTC)?
A.  GTC Europe is a 3-day conference designed to expose the innovative ways developers, businesses and academics are using parallel computing to transform our world.

From deep learning and self-driving cars to virtual reality and high performance computing; network, learn and do business with Europe’s brightest minds, best ideas and biggest opportunities.

GTC Europe is a sister event to the annual NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference in the US, spotlighting world-leading European innovation.
Q. What is the official language at GTC Europe?
A.  The official language of GTC Europe is English. All presentations, hands-on labs, DLI and live demos will be presented in English.
Q. How is NVIDIA affiliated with the Conference?
A.  NVIDIA is the curator of the 3-day GPU Technology Conference. NVIDIA will host and support the entire planning and organisation of GTC Europe. More info on NVIDIA can be found here.
Q. When and where does the GPU Technology Conference take place?
A.  GTC Europe takes place from October 10 to 12, 2017 in Munich, Germany.

GTC US takes place from May 8 to 11, 2017 in San Jose, California.

Since 2011, GTC events have also been held in Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, and Seoul.
Q. Will the conference be recorded?
A.  GTC Europe will be recorded. All video footage of keynote speakers, live demos and hands-on labs from the entire GTC Europe conference will be available online as soon as possible after the conference. Exceptions may apply for speakers who specifically requested their presentation to be kept private.
Q. Will PowerPoint presentations be made available?
A.  No, NVIDIA will not distribute the GTC Europe presentations. Instead, you can always refer to the presentation recordings. If you are interested in reaching out to a particular presenter, we will make every effort to put you in contact with them.
Q. How can I attend the GTC Reception?
A.  Those who have registered to GTC Europe may attend the drinks reception. Light appetisers and cocktails will be served.
Q. I am an international attendee. Do I need a visa to attend the conference?
A.  Nationals from some countries require a visa to visit Germany. When registering for a GTC Europe conference pass, please advise us if you need a letter of invitation and we’ll be happy to provide you with one.
Q. Will you be sharing contact information for those speaking and attending GTC Europe?
A.  No. We value your privacy, so we cannot disclose any personal information. GTC Europe attendees will have ample opportunity to network with keynote speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, and fellow GPU enthusiasts throughout the conference. We would like to encourage you to download and use the GTC Europe mobile application where you will have the opportunity to establish contact with other guests at the event.
Q. Where can I find out information on the conference agenda?
A.  We will update the agenda regularly leading up to the conference. The final agenda, including conference times, will be published on www.gputechconf.eu prior to the conference. An agenda will be included in the conference program handed out onsite at check-in and will also be readily available via the GTC mobile app.
Q. Do you have a list of recommended hotels?
A.  View our recommended hotels here. The GTC Europe team has negotiated discount rates for several hotels within walking distance from the event location. Q. How can I purchase a conference pass for GTC Europe?

Q. Can I purchase a conference pass on-site?
A.  Yes. Early registrants benefit from discounted rates, but it is possible to register on-site. At on-site registration, only credit card or payment via PayPal are accepted (no cash or checks). To check the applicable conference pass rates, please visit.
Q. Will I receive a receipt for my online conference pass purchase?
A.  After completing registration, you will receive your confirmation email and a receipt of the payment by e-mail. You can also find your receipt and confirmation email in your registration profile. If you do not know how to access your profile, please contact us at registration.gtceurope@nvidia.com stating your name and the email address you used to register for the GTC Europe pass.
Q. I would like to receive an invoice for my payment. Is that possible?
A.  You will receive an invoice for your payment together with the confirmation email and payment receipt. If you would like to apply any changes to your existing invoice, please contact us at registration.gtceurope@nvidia.com.
Q. Will I receive a refund if I need to cancel my attendance?
A.  Yes. If you’d like us to cancel your conference pass please email registration.gtceurope@nvidia.com stating your name and e-mail address used for the registration. A cancellation fee might apply to your order. Our team will inform you accordingly. Please note that all refunds will be applied within 10-14 days and will be issued through NVIDIA’s conference pass sales partner. Conference pass cancellation will be available up to October 1st, after which it is not possible to cancel your conference pass.
Q. Can I transfer my GTC Europe conference pass to someone else?
A.  Transferring your GTC Europe conference pass is not allowed.
Q. Are there any group rates?
A.  Please email us at registration.gtceurope@nvidia.com with more details about your request and we will come back to you accordingly.
Q. I can’t attend on all days. Are there any one-day passes available?
A.  Yes, we offer a 1 day conference pass. Click here and choose your conference pass.
Q. What is DLI and who is it for?
A.  The NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) offers hands-on training for developers, data scientists, and researchers looking to solve challenging problems with deep learning. Through self-paced labs and instructor-led workshops, the Deep Learning Institute teaches the latest techniques for designing, training, and deploying neural network-powered machine learning across a variety of application domains. Students explore widely used open-source frameworks and NVIDIA’s latest GPU-accelerated deep learning platforms.
Q. I’m interested in a press conference pass for the event. Who do I contact?
A.  You can register as a press attendee by visiting our press registration pages. Please note you will be asked for proof of your press status. Once confirmed, you will receive your complimentary press conference pass. We also offer media sponsorship packages. Please contact press.gtceurope@nvidia.com for more details.
Q. What time does registration open?
A.  Check-in on-site will start at 8 AM every day.
Q. Are there any student or educational discounts available?
A.  Yes. Academics and students are eligible for a reduced rate. Academics will receive a 50% discount on the standard conference pass price. You can register as a student/academic here. Please bear in mind that you will be required to upload a justification of your student/academic status (copy of student ID card or university/institute enrollment letter).
Q. I’m interested in speaking at the event. How can I apply?
A.  There are three ways to become a GTC speaker: apply online when our Call for Speakers opens, by personal invitation from NVIDIA and as part of our Sponsorship package.

The GTC Europe call for speakers and hands-on labs will be open soon. If you would like to register you interest before that, please email speakers.gtceurope@nvidia.com with a summary of your proposal.
Q. When will speakers be notified on the status of their submissions?
A.  NVIDIA will review each proposal with the goal of ensuring GTC Europe presents the most compelling and relevant content across the conference’s topics.
Q. I am speaking at the conference. How do I register?
A.  Upon confirmation of your speaking role, you were sent an email with further details including instructions on how to register. If you do not receive this email, please contact speakers.gtceurope@nvidia.com or registration.gtceurope@nvidia.com and we will happily resend this information.
